America’s Next Top Model (often shortened to Top Model or abbreviated as ANTM) is a reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of America’s Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry.

The show was created and is hosted by talk-show host and model Tyra Banks, who also serves as the head judge and executive producer of the show. The first “cycle” premiered in May 2003 and was one of UPN’s highest rated shows. The show’s seventh cycle was the first of the shows among regular programming on UPN’s successor network, The CW, and thus far is the network’s highest rated series. The opening theme is performed by Tyra Banks and is produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Banks co-produces the show with Ken Mok and Anthony Dominici, and is an independent production of 10 by 10 Entertainment and Bankable Productions (part of the dummy company/joint venture Pottle Productions), distributed for The CW by Bankable Productions and syndicated internationally by KingWorld (and its successor CBS Television Distribution). For the 2006–2007, 2007–2008 and 2008–2009 television seasons, ANTM was the #1 show in average viewers on The CW.

On February 16, 2010, The CW renewed the show for a 15th and 16th cycle.

TMZ.com is a celebrity news web site which debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between America Online (AOL) and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The site is now under the sole control of Warner Bros. The letters TMZ stand for thirty-mile zone, referring to the “studio zone” within a 30-mile (48.3 km) radius of the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles. Shooting within this zone is considered local. Locations outside this zone are subject to mileage and travel time charges by the talent and crew.

TMZ’s managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who got his start as a legal expert on LA’s KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews, however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does “sometimes pay sources for leads on stories”. Levin has stated that “[e]verything is researched and vetted for accuracy.” A companion TV series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.

GameFAQs is a website that hosts FAQs and walkthroughs for video games. It was created in November 1995 by Jeff “CJayC” Veasey and was bought by CNET Networks in May 2003. It is currently owned by CBS Interactive. The site has a database of video game information, cheat codes, reviews, game saves, and screenshots, almost all of which is submitted by volunteer contributors. The systems covered include the 8-bit Atari platform through modern consoles, as well as computer games. Submissions made to the site are reviewed by the site’s current editor, Allen “SBAllen” Tyner.

GameFAQs hosts an active message board community, which has a separate discussion board for each game in the site’s database, along with a variety of other boards. Since 2004, most of the game-specific boards have been shared between GameFAQs and GameSpot, another CNET/CBS website. The site also runs a daily opinion poll and tournament contests.

GameFAQs has been positively reviewed by The Guardian and Entertainment Weekly. As of 2009, GameFAQs.com is one of the 300 highest-trafficked English-language websites according to Alexa.
